Custodian Assistant

Job Summary:

The Delta County School District 50J is seeking a highly skilled and physically capable Custodian to join our team. As a Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our schools, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and disinfect all areas of the school, including classrooms, hallways, and restrooms
• Empty trash and recyclables, and replace liners in trash cans
• Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors, including the gym and cafeteria
• Clean and dust student and teacher desks, bookshelves, and other surfaces
• Clean windows, including entryway doors and classroom doors
• Set up and take down chairs and tables for school functions
• Open, set up, and clean bleachers in the gym
• Shovel snow from school entryways and sidewalks

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy objects
• Ability to climb, balance, and stoop
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently
