Program Development Specialist

The Mentes Fuertes program provides vital mental health support to the Latino community across multiple counties in North Carolina.
The program aims to strengthen communities and improve mental health outcomes by providing accessible and culturally sensitive services.
The Bilingual Community Mental Health Program Manager will lead the implementation and ongoing operations of the program, working closely with a team of Community Mental Health Workers and other stakeholders.
ResponsibilitiesKey responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing program strategies to achieve organizational goals.
- Supervising and supporting a team of Community Mental Health Workers.
- Fostering relationships with funders, stakeholders, and community partners.
- Representing El Futuro and the Mentes Fuertes program at various events and meetings.
The estimated salary for this position is $60,000.00, based on experience. Benefits include employer-paid medical, dental, vision, life, and long-term disability, 403B matching, generous PTO, paid holidays, paid family medical leave, paid parental leave, and stipend and paid time off for professional development.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Public Health, or a related field; OR equivalent training and experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in community-based or mental health programs.
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience.
- Experience managing budgets, deliverables, and program outcomes.
- Experience in relationship building with diverse stakeholders and community organizations.
You must also have:
- Fluency in spoken Spanish, with the ability to read and communicate with clients in written Spanish.
- Demonstrated skills in program or project management.
- Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities while affording attention to detail and organization.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
