Freelance Sports Medicine Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Freelance Sports Medicine Specialist to provide athletic training services and support to our affiliated individuals and organizations.

The successful candidate will coordinate medical and risk management for athletes, document care, and collaborate with healthcare professionals while adhering to state regulations and professional standards. A degree in Athletic Training, BOC certification, and adaptability to dynamic environments are essential requirements.

• Provide athletic trainer services for athletic events and competition
• Coordinate, manage, and implement medical and risk management of all athletes, including preventative care and emergency care
• Document injury, illness, treatment, rehabilitation, etc., in adherence with JAG Athletic Training policy, contracted site policy, and state licensure professional practice standards
• Collaborate with other JAG professionals in programs such as Physical Therapy and refer for service when needed
• Regularly communicate with the supervising physician regarding standard operating procedures

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Athletic Training (CAATE-approved program)
• BOC certification
• Licensed by the State of New York as an Athletic Trainer
• Current BLS certification
• Maintain Personal Liability Insurance

$60,000 - $80,000 per year, based on experience
