Position Overview

The Facilities Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operational efficiency of facilities within the organization. This role involves planning, organizing, and directing maintenance, custodial services, and security operations while managing a team of skilled and semi-skilled personnel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned staff, providing training and guidance as necessary.
  • Assign and review work tasks, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Manage maintenance and preventative maintenance activities, including minor projects and custodial contracts.
  • Collaborate with the Facility Manager to oversee all operations within the designated facilities.
  • Assist with special projects and additional assignments as required.

Work Environment

This position operates primarily during standard business hours, with a typical work week from Monday to Friday. However, flexibility is required as varied shifts, including evenings and weekends, may be necessary.

Qualifications

Applicants must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, along with four years of experience in building and facilities maintenance or construction. This experience should include project planning, cost estimation, scheduling, and project management, with at least one year in a supervisory capacity. An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.

Special Requirements

Due to the nature of this position, candidates must undergo a pre-employment screening for controlled substances and a criminal history check. A valid driver's license is also required.
