Under the clinical supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, this position assists in pharmaceutical preparation, distribution, and record-keeping functions, ensuring compliance with department policies and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performs specialized billing and quality reporting functions, including data analysis and prior authorization support.
  • Assists in medication reconciliation, clinical support, and inventory management, ensuring accurate and timely medication distribution.
  • Coordinates and develops the billing process for cost control of pharmaceuticals, collaborating with Pharmacy Leadership.
  • Monitors prices and supplies, notifying pharmacy informatics personnel and IT of identified drugs or supplies in coordination with formulary management.
  • Coordinates and provides audit processes for billing pharmaceuticals in the pharmacy, ensuring compliance with hospital billing practices.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalency required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in an institutional pharmacy environment or a retail pharmacy environment.
  • Registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Nebraska required.
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification from a State of Nebraska approved certification agency required.
