Position Overview
As a Practical Nurse II, you will be responsible for delivering essential nursing care in an outpatient setting, adhering to established standards of practice under the guidance of a Registered Nurse (RN). Your role is crucial in providing care to patients with predictable and routine care needs, ensuring that you assist the RN and the healthcare team in achieving optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage in performance improvement initiatives and participate in unit teams, work groups, and committees.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of unit-based quality improvement efforts.
  • Identify personal learning needs through self-evaluation and track progress over time.
  • Deliver direct patient care by utilizing the nursing process under RN supervision.
  • Maintain and update your continuing education records, as well as core and specialty competencies relevant to your practice area.
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare team members and patients/families, supporting the team in achieving shared goals.
  • Maintain and review patient medical records, notes, and physician orders, ensuring all patient care activities are documented according to standards.

Shift Details
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Qualifications
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited LPN program.
  • Certifications: BLS Certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Licensure: Eligibility for LPN licensing in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
  • Skills: Proficiency in English, both verbal and written communication skills, along with computer skills.
