Salary Range: $69,500

Position Overview:
The PSS-2 team is in search of a dedicated Operations Support Specialist to enhance classified data management and analytics. This role is pivotal in supporting the mission to mitigate operational and programmatic risks associated with Weapons Production through effective management of special nuclear materials. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment while also demonstrating the ability to work autonomously, prioritize tasks, and handle sensitive information with professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:
Under the guidance of senior personnel, the Operations Support Specialist will engage in the following activities:
  • Facilitate the shipping and receipt of nuclear materials.
  • Conduct nuclear material inventory assessments and data analytics.
  • Prepare reports and forecasts to align with Laboratory and Department of Energy (DOE) requirements.
  • Develop presentations for management and stakeholders.
  • Identify and propose enhancements to nuclear materials management processes.

Essential Qualifications:
Applicants should possess an Associate's Degree in a relevant discipline and have a minimum of 4 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Skills:
  • Basic understanding of nuclear materials management in compliance with DOE regulations.
  • Experience with relational and SQL Server databases.

Work Environment:
This position is based onsite in Los Alamos, NM.
