Position Summary:

  • Support the manufacturing processes for Cable and Harness production, including wire processing and molding machinery.
  • Assist in harness assembly, wire cutting, stripping, marking, hardware installation, bundling, crimping, and soldering tasks.
  • Emphasize improvements in molding processes to enhance quality and efficiency.
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing methodologies to optimize operations.
  • Develop technical specifications for new products or processes, identifying necessary tooling, equipment, and assembly techniques.
  • Evaluate requirements, capacity, costs, and customer demands.
  • Investigate defect data to determine root causes and implement corrective measures.
  • Maintain and revise Standard Operating Procedures as needed.
  • Provide training to team members to ensure compliance and skill development.
  • Monitor processes to ensure adherence to established standards.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Proficient in following manufacturing instructions and designs.
  • Competent in using manufacturing software applications.
  • Able to identify non-conformance issues or problems.
  • Capable of working collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
  • Experience with CAD and PLC programming is preferred.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Cable and Harness or Industrial Molding sectors.
  • Familiarity with IPC-WHMA-620 standards and SPC techniques.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced setting.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.

Physical and Environmental Requirements:

  • Ability to implement changes based on detailed instructions.
  • Availability for overtime work as necessary.
