Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cashier to join our team at VG's Grocery. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, operating a cash register, and handling customer transactions with accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a cash register and electronic scanner to process customer transactions
  • Handle customer payments, including cash, credit cards, and other forms of payment
  • Assist customers with their purchases, including bagging and carrying items
  • Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
  • Follow company policies and procedures for cash handling and customer service
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash
Physical Demands
