As the Automotive Collision Repair Shop Leader, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth through effective relationships with insurance adjusters, clients, and various stakeholders to meet sales targets. You will oversee the operations of the collision repair team, ensuring adherence to timelines, productivity benchmarks, and DARCARS' high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enhance sales growth, gross profit margins, net profit, and employee retention rates.
- Establish clear objectives and communicate strategies to foster business performance improvements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with insurance adjusters.
- Oversee parts department orders to guarantee timely availability of necessary components.
- Track the progress and completion of vehicles in the shop, ensuring compliance with repair and safety protocols.
- Recruit, train, motivate, and evaluate the performance of all collision repair personnel.
- Foster a collaborative environment, ensuring effective communication among technicians, estimators, and management.
- Continuously enhance the skill set of all team members through training and mentorship opportunities.
- Ensure departmental safety in accordance with applicable regulations and procedures for all associates, customers, vendors, and visitors.
- Complete necessary training for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including hazardous waste management and OSHA standards.
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly, following company protocols.
- Deliver high-quality service repairs consistently.
- Maintain manufacturer and ICAR certifications for the shop.
- Stay updated on new technologies to enhance business operations and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated success in leadership and management roles.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- 5-8 years of experience in automotive collision repair.
- 3 years of experience managing a body shop is preferred.
- Familiarity with CCC One and Reynolds Ignite is advantageous.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- A degree in automotive technology, collision repair, or equivalent military experience is a plus.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Valid Driver's License required.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background screening.
