Production Mechanic Job Description

Kindeva Drug Delivery is a leading global contract developer and manufacturer (CDMO) with expertise in Autoinjector, Inhalation, Transdermal/Intradermal Patch Technologies. We partner with our customers to improve patient outcomes worldwide.

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated, talented, and passionate Production Mechanic to join our St. Louis Missouri team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for setting up, tearing down, and changing over production machinery, as well as performing preventive and predictive maintenance on production equipment and systems.

Responsibilities
  • Set up, tear down, and change over all production machinery as required.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production equipment and systems as assigned.
  • Keep up-to-date records on all maintenance performed according to SOPs, logbooks, work orders, etc.
  • Manufacture spare parts and machine parts as required.
  • Demonstrate trouble-shooting capability on production equipment, including electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic repairs.
  • Order spare or replacement parts as required.
  • Maintain all production areas, buildings, and roads and grounds mechanically and aesthetically.
  • Be able to work from sketches, mechanical drawings, electrical, and pneumatic schematics.
  • Train departmental colleagues to enhance departmental cross-training and capability for new or existing processing equipment.
  • Assist Project Engineers as directed.
  • Observe all shop, equipment, and production floor safety practices.
  • Maintain work area, tools, and equipment in a clean, organized, and professional manner.
  • Maintain all assigned equipment and/or facilities in good working order in accordance with SOPs and current Good Manufacturing Practice guidelines.
  • Prepare/maintain appropriate documentation.
  • Participate in process improvement activities.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Associates degree or graduate from an accredited and certified technical school and one to two years related experience or extensive generalist experience.
  • Must have experience in one of the following disciplines: Electricity Technologies, Industrial Technology, Welding, Machine Shop, HVAC, and/or Control Systems.
  • Must be willing to work in a sterile environment that requires aseptic gowning.

This job requires occasional lifting and/or moving up to 75 pounds. The employee must wear all required safety equipment and perform assigned work in a safe manner.

This job also requires close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus.
