Job Overview

The Electrical Engineer III plays a crucial role in the development and implementation of electrical engineering projects. This position requires advanced technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, select, and apply engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to concurrent engineering projects
  • Apply engineering judgment in making adaptations and modifications to projects
  • Manage one or more engineers and/or designers, providing guidance and support as needed
  • Interact with Project Managers and other engineers to ensure effective project execution
  • Direct project workflow of engineers, designers, and drafters to ensure timely completion
  • Select and apply engineering principles and concepts in the field of specialization with advanced working knowledge of other related disciplines
  • Responsible for reporting on work progress and providing input to the Project Execution Plan
  • Frequently interact with clients, vendors, and contractors to ensure successful project outcomes
  • Implement corporate safety protocols and schedule mandatory safety meetings

Complexity, Decision-Making, Problem-Solving & Nature of Impact (i.e., Scope)

  • Conform to and utilize established design and quality standards for project deliverables
  • Support efforts of the Project Team and Project Manager, following direction as needed
  • Communicate discipline-specific information effectively to the Lead Engineer and appropriate team members
  • Establish and implement the project design basis for the discipline
  • Manage changes in project scope, identify potential risks, and develop contingency plans in collaboration with the Lead Engineer
  • Demonstrate an advanced level of proficiency in technical subjects

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited college/university required
  • Typically, twelve plus years related engineering experience
  • Prior experience with engineering software packages is highly desirable
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to lead and direct project personnel
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment

Compensation and Benefits

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience. The company offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, basic life insurance, AD&D insurance, 401(k), PTO, and educational assistance.
