Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate detailed manufacturing instructions to precisely outline processes for composite part fabrication, inspection, trimming, and assembly.
  • Oversee quality control, production sequence, and timelines throughout the manufacturing lifecycle.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of engineering drawings and grant final approval for production.
  • Identify and support repair and rework initiatives.
  • Execute root cause investigations for any non-conformances and implement corrective measures.
  • Design effective material handling and packaging solutions to safeguard components.
  • Manage hardware configurations and maintain comprehensive records.
  • Prioritize procurement and fabrication of hardware, effectively communicating these priorities to the team.
  • Exhibit a strong customer-centric approach coupled with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Qualifications:
  • Availability for B Shift: Monday-Friday 2PM-11PM
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Relevant experience in manufacturing and manufacturing engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with composite part production.
  • Solid understanding of engineering principles related to mechanical design and manufacturing, including a firm grasp of GD&T.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams across various locations.
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency in CAD, scheduling, issue tracking, and standard office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to build trust, maintain professional relationships, and foster an inclusive work environment.
  • Experience in developing processes aligned with industry quality standards such as AS9100.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with automated fiber placement, non-destructive testing, and composite part trimming.
  • Background in the development, production, or operations of aircraft, launch vehicles, spacecraft, or satellites.
  • Ability to write work instructions efficiently.
  • Self-motivated with the capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software (preferably Creo Pro/E & CATIA).
