Job Summary
The Rutland Regional Medical Center seeks a skilled and compassionate Unit LNA - Supportive Nursing Care Specialist to provide high-quality supportive bedside nursing care to patients under the direct supervision of a registered nurse. As a key member of the healthcare team, this individual will also perform administrative and clerical activities to support the smooth operation of the unit(s) to which they are assigned.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide supportive bedside nursing care to patients, including vital sign monitoring, wound care, and other related tasks.
- Assist with moving or lifting patients and equipment, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Report patient care observations, deviations from patient's plan of care, and other pertinent information to the registered nurse.
- Perform basic administrative and clerical activities, such as data entry, filing, and answering phones.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or Equivalent, or evidence of graduation within one year, required.
- Previous hospital or nursing home LNA experience, preferred.
- Previous secretarial or administrative experience preferred.
- Current Vermont State License.
- BLS Certification through American Heart Association.
- Unit-specific certifications as required (ex. CRAT) per specific department operational framework.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology.
Compensation
$26.97 per hour.
