Job Overview

We are expanding our team and seeking a Senior Compliance Test Engineer to assist in the certification of our innovative next-generation fixed wireless access (ngFWA) product range.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Gain proficiency in operating Tarana's equipment and manage the execution of test plans for our products.
  • Conduct thorough in-house pre-compliance tests, evaluate against emission standards, and document results for internal assessment.
  • Collaborate with external testing laboratories for formal FCC/ISED testing and certification of our wireless product lineup.
  • Coordinate compliance efforts with cross-functional teams, including system engineers, RF/HW engineers, program managers, and operations personnel.
  • Prepare devices under test (DUT) for formal certification at external labs.
  • Analyze test data, power tables, and official FCC/ETSI test reports.
  • Troubleshoot non-compliant test cases, such as emissions exceeding tolerances.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • 3 - 8 years of experience in RF and EMC Regulatory Compliance.
  • Expertise in wireless devices (Access Points, Clients, Customer Premises Equipment).
  • Experience with RF spectrum testing, radiated/conducted emissions, and immunity assessments.
  • In-depth knowledge of spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and network analyzers.
  • Familiarity with FCC Part 15E for all UNII bands, including 6 GHz and AFC interoperability testing.
  • Knowledge of FCC Part 96 for CBRS, including SAS interoperability testing.
  • Experience with EN testing for the 5.8 GHz band; DFS knowledge is advantageous.
  • Understanding of EN 55032/35 testing; EN surge testing experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with array antennas, MU-MIMO, spatial streams, and beamforming techniques.
  • Ability to interpret technical standards and regulatory guidelines and apply them effectively.
  • Willingness to assist with other laboratory activities, including writing test automation scripts.
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant technical field is required.

The compensation range for this role is between $140,000 and $180,000, determined by various factors including skill set, experience, and geographic location.
