We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Bone Marrow Transplant Program Coordinator to join our team at the University of Utah Health. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a world-class healthcare organization that prioritizes patient-centered care and innovative research.
About the RoleThis position plays a vital role in coordinating all aspects of the bone marrow transplant process, from initial consultation to post-transplant care. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Coordinating scheduling, admissions, and outpatient visits for patients undergoing bone marrow transplants
- Verifying insurance coverage and pre-transplant benefits, as well as assisting families in seeking alternative funding sources
- Collaborating with healthcare providers to develop personalized treatment plans for each patient
- Maintaining accurate records and databases to track patient outcomes and transplant processes
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex medical information to patients, families, and healthcare teams. A strong understanding of healthcare systems, policies, and procedures is essential for success in this role.

RequirementsTo be considered for this position, applicants must have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent experience
- At least one year of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in hematology/oncology or bone marrow transplantation
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Utah (or eligibility for interstate compact license)
- A current RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential through the University of Utah Health RQI system
Preferred qualifications include experience working with third-party payers and knowledge of bone marrow transplant program operations. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including opportunities for professional growth and development.
