Position Overview

Job Summary

Hendall Inc. is in search of a qualified Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy to fulfill the role of Chief Medical Officer. The ideal candidate will leverage their clinical knowledge and expertise to oversee review processes and collaborate with Medical Directors from various contracting entities as needed. This role requires staying informed about advancements in medical practices and technologies that could impact billing processes, ensuring that review teams are well-informed and that claim payments are accurately determined.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide final review decisions on questionable payment determinations and guide review personnel accordingly.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the evolving landscape of medical practice and technology.
  • Engage with various stakeholders, including physician groups and beneficiary organizations, to enhance public relations.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of three years of experience as a board-certified physician without any prior sanctions or exclusions from the Medicare program.
  • Experience in the health insurance sector, a utilization review organization, or a healthcare claims processing entity, particularly in roles focused on developing medical necessity and coverage policies.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Medicare program, especially regarding coverage and payment regulations.
  • Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree with a current medical license.
