Job Description:

As a Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and customer service. Our pharmacy technicians are the face of our company, interacting with customers and developing strong relationships with our patients.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Pharmacy Technician. In this role, you will assist pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, including filling prescriptions, processing transactions, and maintaining accurate records.

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing your skills and knowledge to provide excellent customer service and support to our patients and customers.

We offer a comprehensive training program to help you develop the skills and knowledge you need to succeed in this role. Our program includes on-the-job training, classroom instruction, and ongoing support to ensure your success.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, including filling prescriptions, processing transactions, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including patient information and prescription data.
  • Operate pharmacy systems, including cash registers and inventory management software.
  • Assist with inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and stocking of pharmaceuticals.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on the latest pharmacy practices and technologies.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 6 months of experience in a retail environment preferred.
  • PTCB certification preferred.
  • Good math skills and attention to detail required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
