About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Alton Memorial Hospital. As a Pharmacy Technician - Inpatient 1, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and dispensing of medication orders, including workflow management and basic preparation.
  • Conduct non-sterile and/or sterile compounding, maintaining quality assurance standards and required documentation.
  • Support various inventory activities, including inventory storage, ordering, rotating, and beyond use dating.
  • Use automated/electronic systems to manage product preparation, inventory, patient records, and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • No prior experience required
  • State Board of Pharmacy registration
  • Preferred: Pharmacy Tech Certification
