Virtual Sign Language Interpreter Position

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Sign Language Interpreter to provide remote interpreting services to K-12 students in South Carolina. The ideal candidate will be proficient in American Sign Language (ASL) and have experience working in an educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide virtual sign language interpretation for students during live online classes and school activities.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure effective communication for students.
- Adapt interpreting styles to meet the needs of students with varying levels of hearing loss and educational requirements.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of services provided.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL).
- Previous experience as a sign language interpreter in a school setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with virtual learning platforms and technology.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Contract Details:
- 1099 Contracted Position.
