Principal Manufacturing Engineer

Mercury Systems is seeking a highly skilled Principal Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Operations organization, you will be responsible for providing direction and oversight in the development and manufacturing of highly complex electro-mechanical assemblies.
Key Responsibilities- Lead electro-mechanical assembly development, focusing on technology, performance, quality, and cost.
- Drive Design for Manufacturability (DFM/A) and Test (DFT) activities.
- Participate in New Product Introduction/Transition, all aspects of the phase gate process.
- Facilitate and support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Support design changes, tooling updates, and production ramp.
- Provide production support and resolution for technical issues.
- Responsible for improving first pass yield, developing router, process improvements, and interface with Engineering for product changes and the execution of ECOs.
- Lessons learned for New Product Equipment and Software Validation.
- Create, verify, and validate manufacturing requirements.
- Bachelor of Science degree, preferably in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
- 7+ years of related experience in production manufacturing experience in Aerospace & Defense, Medical Device, Semiconductor, or Contract Manufacturing.
- New Product Introduction (NPI) experience.
