Job Summary:The Wireless Network Engineer will perform Tier three network support in accordance with the SIE OPORD. This includes testing and analyzing elements of network facilities, including power, software, security features, communications devices, communications lines, modems, and terminals. The Sr. Engineer is responsible for planning, modeling, simulation, design, installation, maintenance, management, and coordination of the network.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide leadership and direction to a team of technicians providing comprehensive systems and network engineering and architectural planning services.
- Interfacing with O&M personnel by providing strategic design and support to projects as directed.
- Reviewing, editing, publishing, and maintaining documentation and diagrams of engineering and design activities in agreed-upon and accepted industry-standard format.
- Supporting efforts for cybersecurity technology, risks identification, and risk mitigation strategies related to cybersecurity, and A&A support documentation in accordance with applicable DoD and IC directives.
- Overseeing the maintenance of LAN, WAN, and VoIP infrastructures, voice and data network systems, advanced engineering, and administration of multiprotocol routers, multilayer switches, network security devices, and network management systems.
- Providing leadership support with Wireless networking, Application delivery networking, Cloud computing networking.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, a Mathematics-intensive discipline, or a similar field.
- 5 years of increasingly complex and progressive experience in computer systems and network engineering, including two years of specialized experience related to the candidate's assigned task.
- Must be detail-oriented and have in-depth knowledge of networking hardware and software and have extensive experience in network design, implementation, and maintenance.
- DoD Top Secret Clearance or higher is required.
- DoDD 01-M IAT Level II required AND two of the following certifications are preferred: CCNP Security, CCNP Collaboration, CCNP Data Center, CCNP Enterprise with one specialist concentration, CCNP Enterprise with a secondary specialist concentration, CCDP, CCIoT, CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure, Juniper Networks Certified Specialist, Riverbed Certified Performance Engineering Professional.
