Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our team at Peraton in Virginia Beach, VA. As a key member of our SITEC - 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex network systems and architectures.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to a team of technicians in systems and network engineering and architectural planning services.
• Interfacing with O&M personnel by providing strategic design and support to projects as directed.
• Reviewing and recommending existing architectures, and assisting with the design and implementation of systems and network improvements as required.
• Overseeing systems engineering with a focus on the end-to-end functionality of complex systems of systems.
• Overseeing the network performance of disaster recovery and backup/restore.
• Reviewing, editing, publishing, and maintaining documentation and diagrams of engineering and design activities in agreed upon and accepted industry standard format.
• Supporting efforts for cybersecurity technology, risks identification and risk mitigation strategies related to cybersecurity, and A&A support documentation in accordance with applicable DoD and IC directives.
• Overseeing the maintenance of LAN, WAN, and VoIP infrastructures, voice and data network systems, advanced engineering, and administration of multiprotocol routers, multilayer switches, network security devices, and network management systems.
• Providing leadership support with Wireless networking, Application delivery networking, Cloud computing networking.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, a Mathematics-intensive discipline, or a similar field preferred.
• 5 years of increasingly complex and progressive experience in computer systems and network engineering, including two years of specialized experience related to the candidate's assigned task.
• Must be detail-oriented and have in-depth knowledge of networking hardware and software and have extensive experience in network design, implementation, and maintenance. This experience will include but is not limited to LAN/WAN interfacing, static and dynamic routing, access control, network security, and LAN switching for data and voice networks over both wired and wireless mediums.
• DoD Top Secret Clearance or higher is required.
• DoDD 01-M IAT Level II required AND two of the following certifications are preferred: CCNP Security, CCNP Collaboration, CCNP Data Center, CCNP Enterprise with one specialist concentration, CCNP Enterprise with a secondary specialist concentration, CCDP, CCIoT, CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure, Juniper Networks Certified Specialist, Riverbed Certified Performance Engineering Professional.

Target Salary Range

$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
