The Registered Nurse Cardiac Progressive Care position at Las Palmas Medical Center is a critical role that requires a high level of expertise and dedication to patient care. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for providing direct nursing care to patients in the Cardiac Progressive Care unit, working collaboratively with the patient, their family, and other healthcare professionals to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and recognize changes in patient behavior, neurological status, and physiological status, and take appropriate action.
- Administer and monitor the effects of medications, treatments, and procedures performed on the patient.
- Assist with unit employee process activities, including orientation and professional development.
- Demonstrate knowledge of established policies and procedures that regulate the practice of nursing.
- Participate and cooperate in Quality Improvement activities of the department.
- Maintain and practice quality patient care through the effective use of resources and personnel.
- Educate the patient/family based on individual needs.
- RN licensed in the State of Texas/Compact.
- BCLS certified.
- Current ACLS.
- Associates Degree or BSN.
- Critical Care Background.
- Dysrhythmia Recognition.
- Proficiency in EKG.
