About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at AdventHealth. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our physicians in delivering high-quality medical services.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for examinations and procedures by taking vital signs, securing medical histories, and entering information into electronic medical records.
  • Assist physicians and mid-level providers with examinations, treatments, and surgeries, ensuring a safe and efficient patient care experience.
  • Perform phlebotomy and laboratory tests as required, adhering to state and federal regulations, including CLIA guidelines.
  • Screen telephone calls for physicians and providers, taking accurate clinical messages and answering routine patient inquiries within the limits of your knowledge and practice policy.
Requirements
  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduation from a vocational or technical school with training or apprenticeship.
  • BLS/CPR certification is required.
  • Certification as a medical assistant through a CMS recognized certification organization, such as the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or American Medical Technologists (AMT).
