Job Summary:

The Certified Medication Aide works in harmony with the nursing staff to ensure patients receive the medications they need to improve their health and lives.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and administer oral, nasal, eye, ear, and topical medications in accordance with facility policies and procedures and state law.
  • Provide additional, varied care services to patients as instructed and under the supervision of nursing staff.
Requirements:
  • Must be a licensed CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) in good standing with the state (as required).
  • Must have a current Medication Administrative Certificate approved by the state (as required) (Certified Medication Aide).
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • 1+ years of experience as a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) preferred.
