Speech Pathologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Gentry Public School District.

Responsibilities:

• Assess students' communication skills to identify disorders and develop treatment plans.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to provide services and communicate information.
• Develop and implement treatment plans, interventions, and educational materials to minimize the impact of communication disorders.
• Instruct support staff on communicative disorders, assistive devices, and feeding techniques.
• Interpret medical reports to ensure treatment plans are appropriate.
• Maintain accurate records and files for reference and compliance.
• Participate in meetings, workshops, and seminars to convey and gather information.
• Perform site visits and provide therapy and assistance as required.
• Prepare written materials, such as activity logs, correspondence, and treatment plans.
• Provide speech and language therapy to students to minimize the impact of speech and language disorders.

Requirements:

• Must be fully certified by the Arkansas Department of Education.
• Must successfully complete all legally required background checks.

Working Conditions:

The Speech Language Pathologist will work in a school setting, interacting with students, teachers, and other professionals. The position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
