Key Responsibilities
  • Shelve library materials in a neat and orderly manner, using established cataloging systems.
  • Assist with the preparation of the library facility for programs and events.
  • Help maintain the overall cleanliness and organization of the library.
  • Provide excellent customer service to library patrons, responding to their inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Perform a variety of physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and carrying library materials and equipment.
  • Assist with the supervision of facility rentals and enforce rules applicable to those reservations.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to work a variable schedule, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings, Monday through Sunday.
  • Physical ability to perform a wide range of motions, including lifting, bending, and carrying library materials and equipment.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience working in a library or similar environment.
  • Knowledge of library cataloging systems and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
