Position Overview

The Certified Respiratory Therapist plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality cardiopulmonary care tailored to patients of various age groups. Collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, the therapist ensures that care is both effective and safe, adhering to the established standards of the department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide age-appropriate respiratory care to patients.
  • Work in conjunction with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Maintain flexibility in adapting to evolving healthcare systems.
  • Exhibit professionalism and respect towards patients, families, and colleagues.

Minimum Qualifications:

Current certification in the state of Washington; Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP). A minimum of six months to one year of relevant experience is required. An Associate's Degree or equivalent from a two-year college is preferred, along with three or more years of experience in acute respiratory care, including neonatal and critical care settings.

Union Position: This role is classified as a union position.

Safety-Sensitive Designation: This position is designated as safety-sensitive.

Compensation and Benefits:

Sign-On Bonus: Up to $20,000 based on experience (pro-rated for part-time roles).

Salary Range: $43.19 per hour.
