Position Overview

This position entails accountability for business-specific deliverables within a dedicated division or across various divisions. You will oversee and manage the reporting on profitability and related balance sheets for your divisions.

Your role will involve providing support and guidance to colleagues on complex issues as a subject matter expert within the team. You will also be recognized as a specialist in the particular business division you are assigned to, handling more intricate and advanced accounting responsibilities.

Ensuring a high-quality service is paramount, and you will collaborate effectively with your team and business partners to achieve this.

You will assist in the annual statutory audit process and ensure compliance with all MDM/GPO protocols.

It is essential to adhere to all company policies and execute specific tasks within established timeframes while delivering exceptional service to all Informa stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

The Accountant is expected to undertake the following key responsibilities, along with any other reasonable duties as required:
  • Prepare, reconcile, and analyze aspects of the monthly Management Accounts for designated product areas, potentially spanning multiple divisions.
  • Reconcile revenue with information and explanations from the business and between the accounting system and SAP.
  • Conduct WIP analysis, product costing, and provisions (e.g., stock).
  • Understand and apply key drivers impacting the monthly Management Accounting reports.
  • Assist in producing financial analyses.
  • Calculate royalties, profit shares, and commissions.
  • Determine bad debt provisions, accruals, and prepayments.
  • Analyze and resolve ad hoc issues using your business and systems knowledge.
  • Support ad hoc tasks as necessary, including covering workloads in other teams.
  • Calculate bonus and commission provisions.
  • Process intercompany transactions.
  • Verify sub-ledgers from internal departments.
  • Collaborate with Finance Operations and Cash Operations for reconciliation inquiries.
  • Capitalize assets and manage depreciation.
  • Perform reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
  • Publish financial results in SAP FC.
  • Engage in budgeting, forecasting, modeling, and analysis of direct cost bases and divisional recharges (specific to Global Support team).
  • Fulfill Tax & Compliance duties as required by your SSC.
Qualifications

Knowledge & Experience
  • Solid understanding of R2R processes within your area.
  • Proficient knowledge of the SAP system.
  • Familiarity with best practices in an R2R environment.
  • Recognized qualification or Accounting degree preferred (specific to SSC).
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant accounting experience.

Additional Information

The salary for this role ranges from $50,000 to $60,000, depending on experience.
