Job Summary

Collins Machine Works is seeking a skilled Wire EDM Machinist to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and troubleshooting Wire EDM machines to produce precision components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC Wire EDM machines to cut and shape various precision parts
  • Properly and safely select, align, secure, and remove holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines
  • Recognize, deploy, and properly use inserts, fixtures, and tooling
  • Read and interpret applicable drawings and blueprints of work to be performed and follows instructions
  • Determine the proper tools required to perform given task
  • Operate and utilize lifting aids as necessary to perform work
  • Use precision measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements (micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, etc.)
Requirements
  • Understanding of Wire EDM process, setup, and maintenance
  • Understanding of G, D, and T codes
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3 to 5 years related experience is preferred
  • Language skills - effectively communicate and understand job instructions both verbally and written in the English language
