Speech Language Pathologist Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join our interdisciplinary team at Soar Autism Center in Denver, Colorado.

About the Role
  • This part-time position is approximately 60% of full-time hours, working 3 days a week.

As a Speech Language Pathologist at Soar Autism Center, you will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing and executing treatment plans, collaborating with our multidisciplinary team, and actively involving families in the treatment process.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in children with autism spectrum disorder.
  2. Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans to improve the communication abilities of children aged 2-6, utilizing evidence-based methodologies and a range of therapeutic techniques.
  3. Collaborating closely with our team, including behavior analysts, occupational therapists, and psychologists, to ensure comprehensive care and effective interventions.
  4. Actively engaging with families to provide education, resources, and support, empowering them to foster their child's speech and language development.
  5. Regularly evaluating and documenting progress, refining interventions as necessary to maximize effectiveness.

You will work with a dynamic team of professionals dedicated to delivering high-quality care to children with autism spectrum disorder. Your expertise will contribute significantly to our mission of helping these children thrive.

Requirements:
  • Mastery of Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited program.
  • Licence to practice speech pathology in Arizona or Colorado.
  • Prior experience with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) or interest in learning from our clinical teams.
  • A playful spirit and ability to connect with young children.
