About the Role

Safety Management Group of IN Inc is seeking a highly skilled Safety Consultant to join our team. As a Safety Consultant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our clients and their employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Site Safety Observations: Conduct thorough site safety observations to identify potential hazards and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Develop and Implement Safety Programs: Develop and implement effective safety programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Provide Training and Support: Provide training and support to clients and their employees on safety procedures and protocols.
  • Conduct Gap Assessments: Conduct gap assessments to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations for remediation.
  • Develop and Implement Incident Management Plans: Develop and implement incident management plans to ensure prompt and effective response to incidents.
  • Conduct New Hire Orientations and Safety Meetings: Conduct new hire orientations and safety meetings to ensure employees understand safety procedures and protocols.
  • Develop and Implement Contractor Program Reviews: Develop and implement contractor program reviews to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Requirements
  • 5+ Years of General Industry Safety Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in general industry safety, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • BCSP Certification Preferred: Certification as a Board Certified Safety Professional (CSP) is preferred, but not required.
  • First-Aid/CPR Certification: First-aid/CPR certification from the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association is required.
Physical Demands of the Job
  • Moving About Long Distances: The ability to move about long distances, including walking, standing, and climbing stairs.
  • Ascending/Descending Stairs and Ladders: The ability to ascend and descend stairs and ladders safely.
  • Remaining in a Stationary Position for a Prolonged Period: The ability to remain in a stationary position for a prolonged period, including sitting and standing.
  • Working in Extreme Weather: The ability to work in extreme weather conditions, including heat, cold, and inclement weather.
  • Being Exposed to Loud Noises: The ability to be exposed to loud noises, including machinery and equipment.
  • Wearing Personal Protective Gear Correctly: The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly, including hard hats, safety glasses, and earplugs.
