Job Summary

Simon Quick Advisors is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Investment Analyst to join our team. As an Investment Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the broader team in investment research, monitoring, trading, and strategy implementation processes. This role will involve a balance of macro, market, and manager research, as well as trade support and investment implementation processes for our private funds.

The successful candidate will have a strong interest in financial markets, economics, and the investment industry. They will be able to manage multiple assignments and deadlines, and have a passion for learning about markets and investing. Over time, this individual will graduate to a senior investment analyst position and be a key contributor to investment strategy and manager research for the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for coverage of a list of active investments across asset types and investment strategies and serves as the firm's point of contact with those managers.
  • Primary back-up to Head of Trading for daily trading activities.
  • Conduct market and manager diligence for potential investment or termination under the supervision of senior analysts.
  • Participate in investment manager meetings and disseminate notes.
  • Prepare materials and participate in Investment Team, Committee, and Strategy meetings.
  • Draft memos and presentations, in addition to other forms of communication to support the firm's investment and education efforts and client advisor relationships.
  • Operational support for private funds, including capital flow management, investment subscription/redemptions, projects as needed.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in finance or investing.
  • Strong interest in financial markets, economics, and the investment industry.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and written/oral communication skills.
  • Process-driven and proactive with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Bloomberg, Orion/Eclipse, Pitchbook, YCharts.
