Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled ALM Tools Engineer to join our team at LM3 Laser on a 6-month contract-to-hire basis. This role is critical in supporting engineering project teams by administering, configuring, and providing training on Micro Focus ALM/QC/Octane tools.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is between $120,000 - $180,000 depending on experience, with benefits including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.

Job Responsibilities
  • Tool Administration: Administer Micro Focus ALM tools, including license management, user creation, project setup, and usage monitoring.
  • Support Engineering Teams: Support engineering teams with tool configuration, customization, and user training.
  • Troubleshooting: Serve as the primary contact for troubleshooting and resolving ALM tool-related issues.
  • Training and Development: Develop training materials and guide users on ALM tool best practices.
  • Coordination: Coordinate with IT for tool upgrades, new implementations, and pilot testing.
  • Centralized Services: Monitor and manage centralized services like license servers, databases, and application services.
  • Automation: Create automation scripts to simplify repetitive tasks and enhance user experience.
  • Project Deployment: Support PMT organization in deploying current and new tool suites for engineering projects.
  • Data Analysis: Extract and analyze data using SQL queries, VB scripting, and Micro Focus ALM OTA API.

Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience with Micro Focus ALM/QC/Octane.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Skills: Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in SQL, VB scripting, and Micro Focus integration.
  • Personal Qualities: Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
