Job Summary

This role involves providing professional nursing care, participating in direct patient care activities, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure seamless transitions of care. The successful candidate will have strong assessment skills, be able to notify providers of abnormal findings, and establish care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and complete telephone triage to identify patients' health status
  • Notify healthcare providers of abnormal findings and develop tailored care plans in collaboration with patients and families
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure smooth transitions of care and facilitate communication among team members
  • Prepare or supervise preparation of clinic rooms and equipment for use
  • Assist with specialized diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as required
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by healthcare providers and monitor patients' responses
  • Initiate CPR and other emergency measures as necessary
  • Cover other nursing roles within the department as needed
  • Provide health education to patients and families, developing personalized educational plans to promote health and wellbeing
  • Maintain accurate inventories of supplies and medications, participating in quality initiatives and research activities to improve patient outcomes

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

  • A current Alabama RN license or a Multi-State RN License in accordance with the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) for Alabama
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing meeting the minimum standards set by the state of Alabama

Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
