Job Title: Reading and Math Tutor

We are seeking a highly skilled Reading and Math Tutor to join our team at Catapult Learning. As a Reading and Math Tutor, you will provide instructional services to K-8 students, focusing on reading, mathematics, and writing skills.

Job Summary:

The Reading and Math Tutor will work with students to diagnose learning skill deficits and deliver prescribed instructional delivery methods. You will consult with school personnel to coordinate efforts in providing services to students, communicate with parents about student progress, and attend training sessions to deliver designated instructional models and strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain individualized skill-appropriate lesson plans
  • Ensure supervision of students, including escorting students safely to and from sessions
  • Establish and maintain student forms and files as required by the Company, local, state, and/or federal agencies
  • Attend and document meetings/training with Company Supervisors, classroom teachers, principals, and parents as required by the Company, local, state, and/or federal agencies
  • Maintain inventory of educational materials and supplies
Requirements:
  • Non-licensed tutors: individuals with an associate degree (or higher) from an accredited institution of higher education; or at least two years of study at an accredited institution of higher education (defined as 48 semester hours or 72 quarter hours)
  • Licensed tutors: teachers with proper credentials recognized by the State of Ohio as properly licensed teachers
  • Teaching experience preferred
Physical Environment/Working Conditions:

Light lifting, walking, climbing stairs. Most programs are in school settings.

Catapult provides all classroom and instructional materials as well as prepared lesson plans and paid training. Continued instructional and leadership support for all employees is also provided.

Teachers must complete an FBI/BCI background check.
