Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Professional to join our team as an Intake and Care Coordination Specialist. In this role, you will provide comprehensive psychosocial assessments, coordinate and problem-solve with first responders and other referents, and develop detailed recovery-oriented disposition plans for adults referred to our Crisis Diversion and Intervention Services (CDIS) program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct multi-axial assessments, substance use screenings, crisis intervention, stabilization, and meaningful engagement with clients
  • Establish and implement plans to successfully engage clients in relevant services and resources
  • Provide follow-up services to establish linkage to services for program participants
  • Complete data collection and documentation required for the CDIS Project and DESC
  • Develop and maintain cooperative relationships with programs providing services for the population served
  • Comply with applicable program research and evaluation procedures
  • Advocate for clients' access to community resources and services
  • Participate in psychiatric consultation, supervision, and in-service trainings
Requirements
  • Eligible for a Licensed AAC credential or equivalent
  • Master's degree in social work, psychology, or relevant behavioral science
  • Ability to drive an agency or personal vehicle and maintain a current Washington State driver's license
  • Interest in working with clients who are difficult to engage and maintain in traditional mental health/substance use disorder programs
  • Experience and skills in working with mentally ill individuals who are difficult to engage
  • Familiarity with Recovery Principles, Crisis Intervention and Stabilization, and Integrated Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders
  • Strong working knowledge of DSM IV and its successor
  • Ability to assess situations quickly and respond appropriately to mental health and/or chemical dependency crises
Preferred Qualifications
  • Licensed Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the State of Washington
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English
  • Bi-cultural background/experience and/or qualify as an Ethnic Minority, Developmentally Delayed, or Geriatric Mental Health Specialist
