Job Summary:
Amerit Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for applying mechanical engineering theoretical principles and techniques to improve equipment reliability and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between product design and manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Development: Utilize CAD software (Solidworks) to design and simulate mechanical components and assemblies, and develop and implement theoretical models for tolerance stack-ups of assemblies.
- Assembly Optimization: Analyze and optimize assembly processes to maximize Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between product design and manufacturing.
- Technical Leadership: Communicate relevant project information effectively, including project status, technical concepts, and design details, to key internal and external stakeholders of varying technical abilities.
- Problem-Solving: Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve complex product and equipment assembly issues.
Requirements:
- Education: Degree in engineering (mechanical preferred) or related field is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 – 5 years of working experience in a related field, with experience serving as an engineering lead to conceptualize, design, and develop medical devices that address clinical needs.
- Skills: Proficiency in CAD software (Solidworks), ability to read and create detailed dimensioned drawings, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Preferred Skills: Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) modeling, ability to create Monte-Carlo simulations, and strong background in statistics and six sigma methodology.
