Role and Responsibilities:

  • The Patient Care Technician (PCT) operates under the guidance of the Nurse Manager, Charge Nurse, or Staff LPN, delivering essential patient care in accordance with Tennova Healthcare's established protocols.
  • Provides individualized care that aligns with the patient's age and developmental requirements.
  • Exhibits collaboration, flexibility, and ingenuity when engaging with patients, visitors, healthcare providers, and hospital personnel.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a high school diploma or G.E.D. is mandatory. Documentation must be presented upon hiring.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with at least one year of experience as a nursing assistant.
  • Experience in patient care for a minimum of one year is preferred.
  • Certification as a Nursing Assistant or enrollment in an accredited nursing program is highly desirable.
  • BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross) is required within six months of employment if not currently held.
