Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Licensed Boiler and Building Automation Systems Operator to join our team responsible for the configuration and maintenance of our facilities infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will be fast to learn, enjoy working with people, and have a strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Operate and repair the building automation system and boilers, performing maintenance and repairs applying tradecraft skills.
  2. Troubleshoot and repair the Andover Building Automation system, dispatch maintenance personnel, and coordinate building and emergency personnel during emergency conditions.
  3. Monitor, operate, troubleshoot, and repair Low Pressure Boilers at the CUP, MB, West, and CLC Buildings.
  4. Operate and report for 3 Emergency Generators on site during power outages and routine maintenance.
  5. Perform maintenance work in skilled tradecrafts, such as electrical, HVAC, and plumbing.
Requirements
  1. High school diploma or GED equivalent with shop courses.
  2. Completion of two years of a four-year apprenticeship program or four years field experience in a maintenance position.
  3. NJ Black Seal Low Pressure Boiler Operator license required.
  4. Must conform to all city, state, and federal licensing and certification requirements.
  5. Must be able to read and work with blueprints and schematic diagrams.
  6. Requires work in confined spaces and on ladders or lift equipment over six feet from ground.
  7. Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools.
  8. Must possess a valid driver's license.
  9. Must be able to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
