Job Overview

POSITION TITLE: PRODUCTION ASSEMBLY

OBJECTIVE:

To prepare bulk fiber optic cables for subsequent assembly and splice various fiber optic patch cords and panel assemblies while adhering to high-quality standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Preparation of Fiber Optic Cables:

  • Interpret order specifications and analyze schematics to determine necessary steps.
  • Adhere to procedural guidelines and quality benchmarks.
  • Utilize both manual and powered hand tools effectively.
  • Operate splicing machinery to attach connectors to fiber optic cables.
  • Ensure a tidy and organized workspace.
  • Receive guidance from supervisors, leads, engineers, and colleagues.
  • Surpass and maintain productivity expectations.
  • Communicate workflow status within the team.

2. Additional Duties:

  • Demonstrate flexibility and prioritize tasks as needed.
  • Participate in cross-training across various workstations.
  • Assist in training colleagues and subcontractors.
  • Perform cleaning and maintenance tasks.
  • Comply with safety protocols.
  • Identify and maintain tools in optimal condition.
  • Be available for overtime as necessary.

3. Foster a Collaborative Team Environment.

WORK SCHEDULE:

Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts, with flexible start times.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to distinguish colors and possess strong hand-eye coordination.
  • Experience in general assembly tasks.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
  • Able to lift weights up to 40 lbs.
  • Mindset focused on Continuous Improvement.

  • Competence in handling a variety of part sizes and weights.
  • Exceptional dexterity and movement of hands, wrists, and arms.
  • Ability to comprehend written instructions and perform basic arithmetic.

COMPENSATION: Starting at $15.00, eligible for bonuses.
