Grocery Store Bakery Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bakery Department Manager to join our team at Kroger. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will be responsible for leading and managing the Bakery department to achieve sales and profit goals.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and Manage the Bakery Department: Direct, support, and supervise all functions, duties, and activities for the Bakery department to ensure exceptional customer service and sales growth.
- Develop and Implement Business Plans: Partner with store management to develop and implement a department business plan to achieve desired results, including sales and profit goals.
- Manage Inventory and Expenses: Plan, organize, and supervise the inventory process, monitor and control expenses for the department, and assist store management in preparing the store/department budget and profit and loss reviews.
- Ensure Food Safety and Quality: Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines, prepare foods according to cooking instructions, and ensure proper temperatures of food, cases, and coolers are maintained and recorded.
- Lead and Develop Associates: Train and develop associates on performance of their job, participate in the performance appraisal process, and promote teamwork to help achieve company/store goals.
- Effective Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to lead and manage a team of associates.
- Knowledge of Basic Math: Basic math skills to manage inventory, expenses, and sales data.
- Ability to Handle Stressful Situations: Ability to handle stressful situations and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Current Food Handlers Permit: Current food handlers permit once employed.
- High School Education or Equivalent: High school education or equivalent, preferably with a degree in business or a related field.
- Management Experience: Previous management experience in a retail or food service environment.
- Bakery Experience: Experience in a bakery or related field, preferably with a focus on customer service and sales growth.
