About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Apheresis team in Gainesville, FL. As a key member of our multidisciplinary healthcare team, you will be responsible for performing apheresis procedures, including therapeutic plasma exchange, stem cell collections, and other related treatments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform apheresis procedures such as plasma exchange, red blood cell exchange, leukapheresis, and stem cell collection.
  • Monitor patients before, during, and after apheresis procedures to ensure patient safety and comfort.
  • Assess and manage vascular access, including peripheral and central lines.
  • Administer medications as needed during apheresis treatments following physician orders.
  • Educate patients and their families about the apheresis process, potential side effects, and post-procedure care.
  • Collaborate with physicians, transplant teams, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of treatments, patient responses, and clinical outcomes in the electronic health record (EHR).
Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in critical care, hematology/oncology, or apheresis.
  • Strong understanding of apheresis technologies and procedures.
  • Excellent IV insertion, central line management, and vascular access skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and clinical documentation.
