Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Medical Director, the Diagnostic Imaging Specialist performs all duties associated with the acquisition, processing, and submission for interpretation of X-Ray images. This role is responsible for the care of patients while in the X-Ray area and is administratively responsible to the Site Administrator.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Care: Greets patients by confirming patient identification, reviewing imaging requests, checking for special instructions, and confirming anticipated services with patients.
  • Assisting Physicians: Assists physicians with prepping patients for interventional studies or peripheral studies.
  • Procedure Support: Assists physicians during all procedures to provide optimal examinations.
  • Imaging Procedures: Uses independent judgment to assess the particular circumstances of each procedure and performs a broad range of imaging procedures to produce diagnostic medical images.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Demonstrates skill in equipment setup, utilization, and proper maintenance protocols.
  • Troubleshooting: Ensures good working order of equipment and troubleshoots routine equipment problems or seeks technical assistance for equipment malfunctions.
  • Inventory Management: Works closely with the Clinical Operations manager to manage inventory, place orders, and organize supplies.
  • Liaison Role: Acts as a liaison with NYPH IT for networking and Vue PACS/equipment setup.
  • Additional Duties: Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required, College Degree preferred.
  • Certifications: Graduate AMA-approved school of Radiology required, New York State Licensed X-Ray Technologist by the Department of Health required, American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required.
Compensation:

Hourly Rate Ranges: $58.79

Note: Our salary offers will fall within these ranges based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to experience, skill set, training, and education.
