About the Role

Care Seniors is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Billing Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Finance and Executive Team, you will be responsible for the hands-on management and performance of various duties related to healthcare billing, claims adjudication, and finance support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee Billing Operations: Ensure accuracy and efficiency in all billing processes, including the preparation of weekly invoices for clinical services rendered and the electronic transmission of these invoices.
  • Manage Billing Team: Provide guidance and support to a team of billing specialists, establish and implement standard and customized invoice and claim formats based on contract guidelines, and monitor, evaluate, and review billing procedures for regulatory compliance.
  • Develop and Implement Billing Policies: Create and implement billing policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy, and collaborate with other departments to resolve billing issues and ensure timely payment.
  • Accountable for Accounts Receivable: Oversee the preparation of weekly invoices, process electronic transmission of these invoices, and manage accounts receivable, collections, cash postings, and other miscellaneous billing.
  • Responsible for Billing Health Care Claims: Bill health care claims to all insurance types, track and post payments, follow up on overdue accounts, and provide end-of-month financial information on a timely basis.
  • Manage Billing Reports: Manage billing reports to ensure that all billing is captured accurately and timely, and maintain accurate documentation of claim appeals process.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Trends: Stay current with industry trends and best practices in billing and revenue management, and assure Claims Integrity for the agency.
Requirements
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree: In business or accounting, with a minimum of one year of home health experience in billing, including CMS regulations and HCBS requirements, or three years' experience in accounting or medical billing with at least two years' supervisory responsibilities.
  • Strong Knowledge of Billing Principles: Demonstrates a strong knowledge of billing principles, procedures, and systems, and is proficient in using billing software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  • Excellent Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrates excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and is able to effectively communicate with internal teams and external clients.
  • Leadership Skills: Possesses leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team, and works well under pressure.
