We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at CHRISTUS Health. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will play a critical role in producing high-quality diagnostic images for our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Operate Radiologic Equipment: Position patients and adjust equipment for taking radiographic images following established procedures.
- Maintain Accurate Records: Log all procedures completed and maintain accurate radiology records as directed.
- Ensure Patient Safety: Follow prescribed safety standards in operating radiologic equipment and adhere to established radiologic requirements and regulations.
- Stock and Maintain Equipment: Stock necessary medical and radiologic supplies and clean and make minor adjustments to radiologic equipment.
- Participate in Quality Improvement: Develop and monitor an ongoing QI program with targeted QI aspects of care to be reported on a routine basis.
- Train and Educate: Participate in training employees in equipment operation, patient movement, and quality assurance.
- Comply with HIPAA Guidelines: Follow the CHRISTUS Physician Group guidelines related to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), designed to prevent or detect unauthorized disclosure of Protected Health Information (PHI).
- Adhere to CHRISTUS Policies: Maintain established CHRISTUS Physician Group policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control.
- Education: Graduate of AMA approved School of Radiological Sciences or other accepted and approved equivalent required.
- Experience: One year of experience as a radiologic technologist preferred.
- Licenses and Certifications: Current state licensure and certification (ARRT) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists required. Current BLS (American Heart Association) required.
