About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Audiologist to join our team at Hackensack Meridian Health. As an Audiologist, you will play a critical role in evaluating, planning, and implementing audiology treatment programs for patients with hearing impairments and/or disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patient needs through comprehensive assessments and testing, collaborating with other healthcare professionals as needed.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, incorporating evidence-based practices and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Select and fit appropriate hearing aids for patients, ensuring optimal outcomes and minimal return rates.
  • Document patient progress, update treatment plans, and maintain accurate records in accordance with departmental policies.
  • Participate in the New Jersey Department of Health's newborn hearing screening program, adhering to all requirements and filing reports in a timely manner.
  • Develop and implement discharge plans, ensuring seamless transitions for patients.
  • Collect and document objective data, providing education to patients and caregivers as needed.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care, focusing on patient needs and goals.
  • Meet productivity standards, completing patient treatments within established ranges.
  • Ensure safe and efficient procedures, utilizing proper body mechanics and audiology equipment.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned, adhering to HMH organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Audiology from an accredited institution.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited institution.
Licenses and Certifications
  • Audiology License.
Preferred Licenses and Certifications
  • Clinical Competence Certificate.
  • AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.
  • Hearing Aid Dispensing License, or eligibility to obtain.
