Position Summary

The Store Operations Manager is responsible for maximizing the profitability of their location while ensuring that the store is recognized for outstanding customer service. This role focuses on driving retail sales across all categories and implementing best practices for each aspect of the retail operation. The Store Operations Manager is committed to recognizing and developing capable employees through continuous training.

Core Responsibilities

Financial Management

Oversee and monitor the following elements:

  • Store Revenue
  • Net Profitability
  • Overall Business Performance
Team Leadership
  • Recruit and onboard new team members
  • Manage and oversee Sandwich Artists, Shift Managers, and Assistant Managers
  • Ensure comprehensive training and induction for new hires according to company standards
  • Provide ongoing coaching and set expectations through exemplary leadership
  • Develop staff schedules in alignment with budgeted labor and hours
  • Conduct employee counseling sessions and handle escalated issues as necessary.
  • Perform quarterly employee evaluations
  • Mentor Assistant Managers as needed
Business Insight
  • Develop and track store labor budgets and staffing hours
  • Handle invoicing, ordering, and daily financial reconciliations
  • Prepare necessary documentation related to inventory and sales. Manage payroll and timesheets
  • Monitor cash discrepancies and minimize waste.
  • Ensure full compliance with company and regulatory guidelines
Retail Management
  • Conduct inventory management and stock control, including weekly audits and reporting. Analyze sales and inventory data to enhance business performance
  • Oversee cleanliness and presentation of the store
  • Design and implement Local Store Marketing Strategies
  • Complete all required training as directed by upper management
Health & Safety Compliance
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols to prevent workplace injuries
  • Provide a secure working environment for both employees and customers
  • Report all incidents according to company procedures
Customer Engagement
  • Encourage a high standard of customer service among staff
  • Deliver exceptional customer service in handling sales, inquiries, and complaints
  • Address unresolved or escalated customer issues
