Job Overview

The Executive Director of High School Excellence will be responsible for leading a team that provides direct services to our alumni, ensuring their success on varied paths to excellence beyond graduation from an Excellence Community school. Key responsibilities include:

  • Facilitating team efforts to promote alumni success in high school and college admissions.
  • Managing all aspects of our high school alumni scholarship program.
  • Developing an alumni ambassador program to connect alumni across classes.
  • Orchestrating the development of a high-quality college readiness department.
  • Collaborating with the HS Placement Team to establish infrastructure for post-graduation relationships.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • At least three years of experience in college admission, access, or opportunity programs, education, or nonprofit organizations.
  • Ability to communicate and work with multiple stakeholders within and outside the organization.
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Evening availability required, along with occasional weekends.
  • Demonstrated commitment to educational opportunity and equity for underrepresented youth.
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $75,000-$95,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Additionally, we provide health insurance, dental, vision, 403b Retirement Plan, paid time off, parental leave, FMLA, short-term and long-term disability benefits, and life insurance.
